2016 Presidential Candidate Resumes 2016 Presidential Candidate Resumes Would your resume make the cut? One of the most effective ways of landing a job is through networking. That’s because even the most expertly written resume doesn’t give the full story â€" especially when hiring managers spend about six seconds scanning each one. So we thought it might be fun to apply that same philosophy to the 2016 presidential campaign. If American voters spent six seconds scanning each candidate’s resume for past experience and accomplishments, what conclusions might they draw? Let’s take a look at the candidates resumes:   Hillary Clinton Served as First Lady (1993-2001) Served as the first female senator from New York (2001-2009) Served as Secretary of State (2009-2013) Clapped backup for Stevie Nicks and Michael Jackson Won a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album (It takes a village, 1997) Campaigned for Republican presidential candidate Barry Goldwater Later campaigned for Democrats Worked in a fish processing plant in Alaska Served on the boards of TCBY and Walmart Served on Richard Nixon’s impeachment investigation committee Taught at the University of Arkansas law school Donald Trump Once owned the New Jersey Generals football club (USFL) Was voted the class “Ladies Man” at the New York Military Academy Was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007 for The Apprentice Successfully filed for corporate bankruptcy four times Owner of the Miss Universe Organization, which includes the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants Author of numerous books Accumulated a net worth of approximately $4 billion Developed, built, opened, and operated numerous hotels, casinos, and other properties Served as financial advisor to Mike Tyson and hosted his Atlantic City fight against Michael Spinks Bernie Sanders Marched for civil rights in the 1960s Became only the third socialist ever elected to Congress Racked up 71% of the votes in a 2012 Senate run Filibustered on the Senate floor for eight hours in 2010 to oppose tax breaks for the rich Inspired a line of “Feel the Bern” underwear Accomplished folk musician featured on the album “We Shall Overcome” Featured character in a video game, “Bernie-Arcade” Previously worked as a writer, a carpenter, and a filmmaker Previously served as mayor of Burlington, VT The point of all of this (other than entertainment)?
